There have been a lot of giggles in print this week, and a few which I thought were worth sharing.
The first were the Top 4 Tweets the day after the recent election, published in a recent copy of The Big Issue.

The last one is my absolute favourite.
"Today feels like the morning after a party where everyone hooked up in the worst possible way and no one can look at each other." – mikestuchbery
"If Abbot wins, rich, heterosexual middle-aged conservative Christian white people might FINALLY get a say in how Australia is run." - DeathStarPR
"Australia has spoken. We said 'meh'." – onepotchef
"Nobody's in charge, Australia! Let's eat the condensed milk out of the can!" – benbirchall

I have a confession to make. The first thing I read on the front page of the Age newspaper isn't the headlines. It's the OddSpot.
This one made me laugh out loud.

"Two policemen called to a holiday centre in Torbay, UK, after a visitor had his camcorder stolen were photographed having a ride on a flying fox instead of investigating."
Classic. Naughty rookies.

I've written before how Steve Perkins' In Black & White column in the Herald Sun offers quirky little daily life stories from readers, and this one from Tuesday made me snort into my coffee.
"The Queenscliff Fort celebrated its 150th birthday on Saturday and a crowd had gathered to celebrate. The Victoria Police Pipe Band entertained the visitors.
Late into the festivities, the band leader asked if there were any requests, at which point a bloke in a St Kilda scarf and beanie called out, 'When the Saints Come Marching In'.
The band put their heads together, took their positions and launched into a stirring rendition of Good Old Collingwood Forever, much to the amusement of nearly everybody."

Ahhh. Music and comedy
As an aside, I absolutely love the sound of bagpipes. If I hear bagpipes, I come running.

Lastly, LOLcats never fail to elicit a laugh, and this cartoon from the website is no exception.

Hope some of those made you smile or laugh too
