The Life and Times of Kiki Chaos

When tempest tossed, embrace chaos.

Thanks for the Laughs

September9

LOL.

Love it or loathe it, the acronym for "laugh out loud" has become as accepted an expression as "hi" and "bye".

But how often do we actually literally laugh out loud?

These are some of the written communications I've spotted recently that did cause me to audibly splutter with laughter.

The front page of today's Herald Sun.

I actually did a double-take when I saw this, thinking "They didn't. Oh my. They did!" Then burst out laughing.

And, unbelievably I know, willingly parted with my money to buy it.

I don't care which way your political sympathies lie, you've got to admit it's damn brilliant to live in a country where one of the nation's biggest newspapers can blow a big fat raspberry at the new Prime Minister and not get hauled off to face a firing squad.

I could never have imagined myself saying these words about a Herald Sun headline, but I'd love to shake Simon Pristel's hand.

Hilarious.

This sign in a shop window on Chapel Street.

Not if they were free.

Just kidding. I do like kids.

No, really.

This on one of those backpacker vans.

We spotted this in an underground carpark and I laughed so much, I made Mr K reverse the car so I could go back and take a picture.

I don't know why, but this just makes me think of my brothers. Or boys in general.

Words to live by.

Ahh, I laughed.

I don't know what my humour reveals about me. Nothing good, I'm sure ;)

My jaw dropped when I saw yesterday’s headline and my eyebrows flew to the top of my head – all at the same time – but I did literally LOL when I saw that sign on the back of the van. You’re right – it is such a guy thing!

Ahhh the beauty of Australia where everyone – including the PM – is fair game! It is what makes Australia great.

I’m just glad they had a shot of Dullard with her hair over her ears, so her gigantic mutant earlobes were not visible.

Zan – Boy humour is so funny :)

Scout – Definitely agree it’s what makes Australia great. I love that dry, irreverent humour. LOL… how have I never heard her called “Dullard” before?? Thank YOU for that laugh :)
