We are extremely lucky to have a great landlord.

Brook and his family used to live next door up until a couple of months ago, and he's been on-site practically every day since we moved in, supervising other building projects. So, being fairly neighbourly people, Mr K and I have gotten to know him pretty well.

He's a big talker and one of those fact-sponges who knows something about everything. The other day, when I wanted to know the best way to clean the inside of my car windscreen, I just poked my head out the front door, looked around for Brook and asked him.

Apparently white vinegar is good for cutting through the plastic film that out-gasses from the dash and sticks to the glass.

Anyway, who ever – in the history of tenant/landlord relationships – heard of a tenant putting in a fix-it request and their landlord turning up the next morning to do it?

Admittedly, he has builders at hand all the time right now, but it was his willingness to do what we needed done straight away that was pretty impressive.

I haven't seen him to thank him since, so this is actually a reminder to myself to do that tomorrow.

Gotta keep that tenant/landlord relationship in tip top condition
