Chi Chi – High Heeled Housewife
Ahhh, I just love the name of this nailpolish brand together with the name of the colour.
Chi Chi High Heeled Housewife.
It's so…
Minus the red nailpolish, of course.
Because I think High Heeled Housewife is a cool, calm, sophisticated, twinset-and-pearls kind of woman. I'm thinking a Bree Van de Kamp type.
I actually reckon this colour with those shoes would look pretty damn sultry.
This is the first Chi Chi nailpolish I've tried and I was very impressed.
It applied so beautifully smooth and was very opaque in two coats. I practically never do just two coats. I always apply a third in every colour, just for good measure, but a third of HHH would have been completely unnecessary and wasteful.
I picked up my bottle of HHH at Myer on a clearance table, but I suspect it's been discontinued because I can't find it on the Chi Chi displays at Myer, Gloss or Target.
If it is discontinued, I don't understand why two nailpolish companies – Ulta3 and Chi Chi – would discontinue their very 'now' neutral colours, right when they're at their height of popularity?
I'm really scratching my head over that one.
But anyway, I'm quite sold on Chi Chi nailpolish now because it was such a good opaque formula. And I just adore a gorgeous streakless creme like this one.
I'm going to check out some other Chi Chi colours as soon as I get the chance

Ahhhhh HHH – my absolute favourite polish ever and the one that started my love affair with polish (followed closely by your blog and VF). This colour is sublime and every time I wear it, I get comments.

I saw this on your blog last night and loved it. I immediately went to myer today and ran frantically around the reduced cosmetics table, searching for it. I found two bottles! (p.s. if anyone is looking, i kindly left on at Myer Chermside, Brisbane)
