Revlon No Shrinking Violet
Even though I'm still as mad about purple nailpolish as ever, I think I really just wanted this polish for the name.
I was once very much a shrinking violet.
I was the shyest of shy children, a very awkward teenager and didn't really grow out of a very painful social anxiety until my mid-20s.
If you'd told me at any stage through my 20s that I would end up making a living out of being able to make small talk with strangers, I would have keeled over, unable to breathe from laughing.
But here I am. Life's funny like that.

And here is Revlon's No Shrinking Violet on my nails.
Sorry about the slightly blurry photos. I raced outside to snap a few shots in the midst of an insanely busy day, so these were a bit rushed.
I don't know if you can see it very well in this pic, but No Shrinking Violet has a super-super-fine blue and pink shimmer through it.
But it's actually quite dark. Not looks-black-indoors kind of dark, but quite vampy.
I'm just not into vampy colours on me. I think they're aging.

I tried to match my nailpolish with my wardrobe again today.
This is a new purple check top I bought on the weekend. I hate it.
Those ruffles down the front make me look like a hen. You know, with that very attractive mono-boob effect? How embarrassing.
Luckily the neckline is faulty, and I only realised while wearing it today, so I'm taking it back.
As soon as I got home I took it straight off. Don't you hate clothes that make you feel ugly?

Not one for shimmers myself, but it’s not a bad colour! Lucky about being able to take the top back too.
Nat – I prefer cremes to shimmers myself as well. Or a super fine shimmer through a creme. Frosts are the worst. Ew.
It reminds me of cadbury chocolate! WHich is always a good thing in my opinion… except i might accidentally eat my nails. I too can sympathise with your shyness, i still have it. Which is why i enjoy blogging i think. I can get it all out there without having to take the physical risk.

ballet flats – I still have some shyness as well and randomly turn bright red when all eyes are on me, and I don’t think I’ll ever grow out of that unfortunately. Blogging is great for meeting and chatting with people in the safety of your own home

For some reason I got the image of a hen wearing No Shrinking Violet. But it’s good you can take the top back and I think the polish is a great colour!
