A Spring In My Step
Oh Melbourne, you wonderful, wonderful city you!
I don't think you could have turned on a more glorious second day of Spring if you tried.
The sky was cornflower blue, the sunshine was golden and the air was teasingly warm, with just a hint of chill to remind us to savour this delicious season, and not rush past it with thoughts of Summer just yet.
I always consider Winter to be over when I see my first cherry blossoms.
I don't actually think I've stood this close to cherry blossoms since I was a teenager. Don't they just smell heavenly?!
I just wish I could pick some to take home and put in a vase, but they're so ephemeral they drop all their petals within hours.
While taking these pictures, the breeze was dusting me with a delicate shower of petal confetti. It was such a sweet Spring experience
Today was the kind of day where it's a crime to stay indoors and not find a way to escape to the nearest park to enjoy the changing seasons, if only for a few minutes.
And wear a polish I've been waiting since last year to try. Ulta3 Spring Fling, of course.
I bought this, not because I thought it would suit me at all, but because it reminded me so much of orange sherbet. And I so wanted to wear a creamy pastel orange, even if it looked hideous on me.
So I was totally surprised to find it looks much better on me than I ever gave the bottle credit for.
I know the rest of the week is going to be wet and dreary, but for me, Spring has sprung and there's no going back.
It's all colour, colour, colour for me from here on in!

I think this quote sums up today perfectly
The naked earth is warm with Spring,
And with green grass and bursting trees
Leans to the sun's kiss glorying,
And quivers in the sunny breeze.

Love the Cherry blossom pics, so pretty! You pull of Spring Fling nicely – it looks awful on me.
Justine – Thank you
I hear Ulta3 has a new orange creme. Maybe that would suit you?
