I've been going through a purple stage for a while, but have tended to favour cremes, like Sportsgirl's Lavender.

I have a number of purple cremes now, though, and have to stop myself from buying dupes.

So Ulta3's Purple Passion didn't really appeal to me at first, because I'm really not a fan of shimmers or frosts. They seem so 80s, but not in a good way.

I pretty much expected to hate this, but for $2, I use Ulta3 as an opportunity to try new types of polishes I'd normally bypass.

I never expected to fall head over heels in love with Purple Passion.

This colour is just dazzling!

It's definitely not a shade to wear when you don't want to draw attention to yourself.

I can't stop looking at my hands wearing this.

If you've been tossing Purple Passion aside when rummaging through Ulta3 bins, maybe you'll be inspired to give it a go too

I'm on the hunt for Ulta3's spring/summer 2010 collection, but so far the chemists I've visited have had very sad looking, thoroughly raided bins.

Given this brand's popularity, I'm always surprised when retailers don't restock regularly. Wouldn't the rapid turnover make them eager to keep them moving by providing fresh stock regularly?

I'm just bummed because the chemist near me has only re-stocked once in almost an entire year, and even then, that's because I emailed Heat about it.

It kills me having such a lousy Ulta3 stockist 5 minutes from my house… so close yet so far!
